Assembling the seat frame.
													
																	Build planter box bench seat. 
									
	
		
	
																	Select a location for your planter bench. 
																	You should be looking at a 24 x 96 bench seat with a 17 1 2 x 22 1 2 opening at each end for plants. 
																	The area should be level with plenty of room for a large bench. 
																	Use 2 1 2 screws to secure the supports to the wall planters. 
															
													
									
	
		
	
																	Cut the brace 2 inches shorter than the width of the side and attach it with screws. 
																	The bench slats can be laid in place and attached to the planter boxes with 1 1 4 pocket hole screws. 
																	All of the planks should be flush with the top of the bench frame. 
																	Use 2 4 lumber to frame the seat for the planter bench. 
															
													
									
	
		
	
																	Drill pilot holes through the rim components and insert 2 1 2 screws into the 19 supports. 
																	The planters will serve as supports for the garden bench. 
																	Place the two pre made planter boxes in a desired location 6 feet apart. 
																	Cut pieces of 5 4 decking for the sides of the planter. 
															
													
									
	
		
	
																	Attach 2 2 supports to the planters as shown in the plans. 
																	This allows for a cushion of about 2 thickness for individuals that are of average height. 
																	5 build the frames for the bases use the 4 5 amp jigsaw to cut the following pieces from the 2 x 4 cedar.
